The terms of using this site.

This website is published by MONISM Studio, an independent design practice in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, operated by Khobi Tang. Using the site means accepting what follows. If you do not, the remedy is simply to close the tab — nothing here obliges you to stay.

It is a portfolio and a way to start a conversation. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a promise of availability. Budget brackets on the brief form exist to place a project, not to price one.

Sending a brief does not create a contract and does not reserve our time. Work begins only when a separate written agreement is signed, and that agreement governs the work — not this page.

Case studies describe real projects. Where a project was done for a client of ours, it says for. Where it was done while employed elsewhere, it says at, and the credit belongs to that employer. We do not claim an employer's client as our own.

Some clients are unnamed at their request. The absence of a name is deliberate, not an oversight.

The scrolling wall of website previews on the home page is illustrative reference material, not our work. Those are examples of the kind of motion and interface design this studio is interested in. Rights in them belong to whoever made them.

The design, code, writing, photography and identity of this website belong to MONISM Studio, except where stated otherwise. The MONISM name and wordmark are ours.

You are welcome to read, quote briefly with attribution, and link to anything here. You may not copy the site wholesale, reuse its writing as your own, or present its case studies as your work. Client marks shown in case studies belong to those clients.

The typefaces are licensed, not owned by us, and are not yours to take from this site.

Anything you send through the forms stays yours. We use it only to answer you, and we treat a brief as confidential by default, whether or not an NDA exists.

Do not send us anything you do not have the right to send, and do not send confidential material belonging to someone else. A brief is not the place for passwords, payment details or identity documents, and we will never ask for them by email.

How submissions are handled — including the fact that an unfinished brief still reaches us — is set out in the privacy policy.

This site is kept current in good faith, but it is a studio's portfolio, not a reference work. Dates, scopes and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them. Nothing here is professional advice, and no outcome shown for one client is a prediction of another's.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of error, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where this site links out — to a client, a booking page, a typeface, a processor's policy — we do not control what is on the other side and are not responsible for it. A link is a reference, not an endorsement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the courts of Phnom Penh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened, and the version in force is the one published when you visit.
