Services
Three disciplines.
One philosophy.
MONISM does not sell three separate services. It works one way, across three surfaces — the symbol, the world around it, and the places people meet it.
Taking on a small number of founding engagements for 2026.
Symbol & System
Every identity begins with a symbol — something simple enough to recognize, yet meaningful enough to endure. We craft unique symbols, identities, cohesive visual systems, and brand foundations that give form to your worldview.
What you walk away with
- A symbol you can explain in one sentence
- Rules that still hold when someone else applies them
- Brand language your team can build on for years
Visual & Cinematic
We work in imagery, motion, environments and contemporary culture, the part of a brand people feel before they read a word of it. A composition, a campaign and a cultural project all come out of the same eye.
What you walk away with
- Visual language with a hand behind it
- Campaigns people still remember next week
- Cultural work rooted in the place it happens
Digital & Experience
Websites, digital experiences, interactive systems, and experiential design. We build digital and physical expressions that are as considered as the ideas behind them — bridging the gap between concept and encounter.
What you walk away with
- Sites people stay on
- Motion that has a reason to move
- Work that exists off the screen too
What it produced
Start to finish, in the open.
The deliverable
What a system
actually looks like.
Five spreads from a forty-page brand guide for a café in Phnom Penh. The identity was completed and delivered; the client chose not to adopt it. It is here because it is the clearest answer to what you receive.

01 — Application
The mark carried onto bags, cups, sachets, enamel and card — where a system either holds or falls apart.

02 — Construction
Clear space, set to the ascender height and drawn rather than described.

03 — Bilingual lockups
Khmer and Latin, built to sit at the same optical weight.

04 — Restrictions
Eight ways to get it wrong, drawn out. A guide that only shows the right answer gets ignored the first time someone is in a hurry.

05 — Palette
Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone, with the proportion each colour should hold.
Café identity · Unadopted concept
Identity, bilingual lockups, packaging and a forty-page guide. Designed and delivered by MONISM Studio.
How the work runs
Four stages. Six steps inside them.
Commissioning identity work means paying for something that does not exist yet. The least we can do is tell you exactly how it gets made, and where you hold the decision.
We start with a call. We learn the business, the ambition, and what has to change — then research your category, your competitors, and the people you are trying to reach.
You leave this stage with a written direction. Nothing is designed until you approve it.
The central idea, given form. You see the mark, the typography and the palette together and already applied — on packaging, on screen, in place — rather than floating on a white page.
This is the decision point. Once the direction is approved, we build.
The system around the idea. Type scale, colour, imagery, motion, language, and the applications you actually need.
Refinement is unlimited within the approved direction — we work until it is right. If the direction itself changes, we talk before anything moves.
Every file exported and organised, so anyone on your team can apply the system without us in the room.
A strong identity should not end at delivery.
What you receive
- Logo suite — Primary, stacked and icon versions, in full colour, black and white.
- Every format — For print, screen and social, at any size.
- Colour and typography — Full specification for both screen and print.
- Brand guide — How the system works, and how to use it.
- Social kit — Profile images and banners, pre-sized for each platform.
- Source files — Yours to keep.
Typefaces are licensed to you directly. We specify the fonts and where to buy them, so the licence sits in your name rather than ours. It is your brand — the rights should follow it.
How long
- Focused identity
- 2–4 weeks
- Full identity system
- 5–8 weeks
- Identity and digital
- 8–12 weeks
Timelines assume feedback within five working days at each stage. We agree the schedule before we begin, and we hold to it.
What we need from you
- One 60-minute call at the start
- Access to anything that already exists — files, guidelines, research
- One named decision-maker
- Feedback within five working days at each stage
Projects rarely run long because of the work. They run long because a decision is waiting. Naming one person and one turnaround keeps the schedule honest — for both of us.
What it costs
Brackets, not a price list.
Scope is shaped per project, so a fixed number would be a fiction. These are the same four bands the brief form asks you to pick from — knowing where you sit before you write saves us both a conversation.
- Under $2,000A single piece, or a focused mark
- $2,000 – $10,000Focused identity — 2–4 weeks
- $10,000 – $25,000Full identity system — 5–8 weeks
- $25,000 and beyondIdentity and digital — 8–12 weeks
A 50% deposit before design begins, the balance on handover. Not sure where you sit? Say so in the brief — the bracket is there to place a project, not to qualify you out of one.
Before you write
A focused identity usually sits in the second band, a full system in the third, identity and digital in the fourth. The brackets are above.
Nothing is invoiced before there is a written direction you have approved.
You see the direction before anything is built, and you approve it in writing. Nothing is designed until you do.
Inside an approved direction, refinement is unlimited — we work until it is right.
If the direction itself changes after approval, that is an honest conversation about scope rather than a revision hidden inside the same fee.
That is fine, and common. The three practices are how the studio works, not a package that has to be bought whole.
A single mark, one campaign, or a site built on an identity you already have are all ordinary places to start. Say which in the brief.
However the work starts
Every engagement runs the same six steps.
Signal to evolve.
