The ask

Bon Angkor set out to measure how international investors actually see Cambodia, backed by the Ministry of Commerce and the Kingdom's leading companies. Which meant getting those investors to sit down and complete a detailed survey — people who have never been asked, and may not have considered the country in years.

What we found

Every survey has an abandonment problem. This one had a harder version. The site is itself a data point: a study asking whether Cambodia deserves serious attention, presented on a site that looks improvised, has answered its own question before the first response arrives. Perception is not only what the survey measures. It is what the design confirms or contradicts.

The idea

Build the proof before asking the question.

The through-line

The mark is Nicky Ward's. The work was making it hold across five media that usually drift apart — print, site, film, motion and a daily feed. Consistency is not a style guide. It is the same decision, taken five times, by one person.

The same system carried into campaign: one argument, four media.
The same system carried into campaign: one argument, four media.

The site

Designed and built in the same pair of hands. The survey is the entire purpose, so every route leads to it and nothing on the page competes with it.

The report

The Legacy Report is the study's permanent form, and print forgives nothing. No hover state to carry a weak page, no scroll to rescue a spread. Every page has to hold still and hold up.

The film

An introduction film, published to YouTube and syndicated across platforms, closing on a bespoke motion sequence. It carries the site's system exactly, so a viewer arriving from the film recognises where they have landed.

One studio

A printed report, a website, a film, a motion sequence and the running campaign — nothing handed to a third party to reinterpret. That is why they argue the same thing rather than five related things.

The launch

The site, the film and the campaign are live. The survey opens on 12 September 2026, and the Legacy Report follows in January 2027. This case study ends where the work ends, rather than borrowing a result it has not earned yet.
